Knol khol (kohlrabi) belongs to the same family as cabbage and cauliflower. It produces small-sized about 1-3 inches knol khol that is fully edible and can be eaten raw or cooked. The taste and texture of knol khol are similar to broccoli and cabbage but it is milder and sweeter.

The best time to sow the knol khol seeds are winter (September to December), and spring (February to March).

You can sow knol khol seeds directly into pots or grow bags. Alternatively, you can start in seedling trays and transplant them to larger pots once the seeds germinate.

Knol khol seeds will take 1-2 weeks to germinate and the best soil temperature is 15 to 30°C for the seeds to germinate as quickly as possible.

Knol Khol needs medium water and moist soil; water should be done when the soil feels dry and avoid overwatering.

You can give full or partial sunlight. Knol khol needs at least 6-8 hours of full light in a day for better growth.

Within 45 to 60 days, knol khol will be ready to harvest. Cut the knol khol when the tubes are about 2-3 inches in diameter.
