Cucumber is made up of about 95% water; This is a great way to stay hydrated during the summer. Cucumber is sweet and crunchy and is very popular in India. You can easily grow cucumber plants in your home garden or terrace garden, it grows best in warm weather.

In the summer season (February to June) the cucumber plant grows quickly and in this season we can expect good results.

Most gardeners suggest sowing cucumber seeds directly in containers but you can start with the seedling transplant method.

Cucumber is a vine plant but can grow easily in 12-24 inches wide and deep pots or grow bags.

The cucumber seeds will germinate in about 6-10 days and the best soil temperature for sowing cucumber seeds is 18-30°C.

Cucumbers prefer 6-8 hours of full sunlight.

Give 1 inch of water per week and keep the soil consistently moist.

Within 1 month of planting, the cucumber starts flowering. Cucumber days to harvest are 50-60 days from sowing.
