What do I do if my seeds don't germinate?
By Shama Parveen
If you do gardening, then it must have happened to you that even your seeds would not have germinated, in which case both our time and seeds are wasted. In such a situation, it is very important for you to know why your seeds are not sprouting and then what to do so that the seeds start sprouting.
If the soil remains dry most of the time, then the seeds do not germinate. In such a situation, sprinkle water in the soil with the help of a spray pump, and keep the soil moist.
Check the soil if the seed does not germinate, if the soil is too wet, it can be kept in a bright lighted place to dry. If still the seed does not germinate, take out one seed and observe it. If the seed has rotted, then you will have to germinate new seeds.
Another reason for the non-germination of seeds is the lack of oxygen which is due to a lack or excess of water. So give the proper amount of water to the seeds. Apart from this, the seed does not get oxygen even if it is sown too deeply.
If the seed is sown too deep, take it out of the soil and plant it again at the proper depth.
If the seeds planted in the seedling tray are outside at high temperatures, then keep them indoors. And if the seeds are planted outside in the garden, shade them with a green net, etc., and maintain constant moisture in the soil.
If you are germinating seeds indoors in seedling trays and those seeds need light, then you can use Led Grow Light for this.
