Often we grow vegetable plants by germinating the seeds. But you will be surprised to know that there are some vegetables that you can grow without seeds, from the cut/remaining parts or scraps of those vegetables.

Onions

Onions are usually grown from seed, but they can easily be grown from scraps/rooted portions of mature bulbs.

Potato

A new potato plant can be easily grown by drying the cut potato tuber in indirect sunlight for 1-2 days.

Lettuce

You can grow lots of new plants from the root portion that remains after chopping lettuce leaves.

Carrot

You can also prepare a new plant from the upper part of the carrot.

Ginger

You can also grow a new plant from the knot of ginger bought from the market, cut the ginger and plant it in the soil about 2 to 3 inches deep.

Radish

You can prepare a new plant from the stem part (stalk) of the radish. For this, you just have to cut the upper part of the radish about 2 to 3 inches and put it in the potting mix.

Celery

After using the herbal plant celery, you can grow it again by using its rooted stalk.

Sweet Potato

Like potatoes, sweet potatoes are also planted from tubers easily.
