Almost every gardener is troubled by the problem of insects like aphids and spider mites in plants. Pests not only harm the plants but also the soil. So today I will tell you the names of some such plants which will help in keeping the pests away from the garden. The strong and pungent smell of these insect-repellent plants keeps harmful insects away from the home garden.

Pests like tomato hornworms, aphids, flies, mosquitoes, and asparagus beetles run away from the smell of the basil plant. The plant also attracts beneficial insects such as ladybeetles, butterflies, and hoverflies.

The smell of garlic keeps insects like Japanese beetles, aphids, and spider mites away. This companion plant is planted with roses, carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, etc.
