Generally, there are two main methods of growing plants in the garden – direct and transplanting method. In the direct method, the seeds are planted directly in the pot or grow bag.

Although it is easy to transplant seedlings, at the time of transplanting, when we take out the plants from the tray and plant them in another pot.

Be sure not to disturb the roots too much when taking the plants out of the container or seedling tray, as this is more likely to disturb the root ball.

After transplanting, give adequate water to the plants, watering immediately after transplanting helps the plant to adapt to the new environment.

Regularly inspect newly planted plants for insect and disease infestation, as they are susceptible to them.

Water the plant before removing the seedling from the tray, this will keep the root ball moist, which will reduce the chances of the roots getting damaged.

If the plants being transplanted have any dead bark, yellow or dry leaves, remove them. Transplanting time late in the evening can protect the plant from transplanting shock.
