Rust fungus is a fungal disease of plants caused by Pucciniales fungi (formerly known as Uredinales). It thrives in cool, moist conditions. Plants affected by this disease are weak and their productivity decreases.
To avoid infection with this disease, you should plant rust disease-resistant varieties in your garden.
The leaves should not be wetted while watering the plants, as rust fungus disease is spread through wet leaves.
Old infected plants and their parts should be disposed of properly so that the infection does not spread again.
If any plant in the garden is infected with rust disease, then that plant should be removed, so that other plants can be saved from getting infected.
Rust disease infection can also be removed with a warm water spray, but using too hot water can also damage the plants.
Special care should be taken of cleanliness in the garden, if any old infected debris is seen then that debris should be removed and destroyed.
Plants should be kept at a sufficient distance so that there is airflow between them and plants can get enough sunlight.
