How To Prepare Homemade Potting Mix For Plants?

Many people are fond of growing vegetables and different types of plants in pots in their home gardens or terrace gardens, but they do not know how to prepare potting soil or potting mix to grow plants. Do you want to learn how to make a potting mix for growing plants at home? Then this story is for you only.

Peat Moss/Cocopeat

Now take an equal amount of peat moss and soil in this pot. You can also use cocopeat in place of peat moss.
If you're using peat moss, add a small amount of dolomite lime to the mix to raise the pH of the potting mix.
After this, take a mixture of sand and perlite (half sand + half perlite) in the same amount as the amount of soil taken in the pot. Vermiculite can also be used instead of perlite.
Now mix all these things well. If the mix seems too sandy or grainy, more peat moss or cocopeat can be added, and if the soil seems too compact, the amount of sand can be increased slightly.
You can use this potting mix for planting seeds, transplanting, and repotting plants.
