How To Grow Ranunculus  From Seeds?

The Ranunculus flower, also known as ‘‘Buttercup” is famous for its unique flowers having ruffled petals with paper thin-like textures in red, pink, gold, yellow, white, and orange colors. You can grow ranunculus from seeds, it is suitable for your home garden, terrace garden, or balcony.

Sow ranunculus seeds in autumn to winter (September to December) or spring (February to March) for best results.

Sow the ranunculus seeds in a seedlings tray or small pots then transplant them into big pots. 

A pot or grow bag of at least 12-15 inches (wide and deep) is good for planting it.

Ranunculus seeds will germinate in 12-15 days at a temperature of 12-16°C.

It has moderate water needs, you should water daily until established and then keep the soil moist.

Ranunculus thrives in full sunlight but also grows well in partial shade.  But the best is to get at least 6-7 hours of sunlight.

It takes 90-100 days for ranunculus to bloom after seed germination. Spring to early summer (February–April) is the time when it blooms.
