Spring and summer season (February to April) is best for sowing brinjal seeds.

Brinjal is a heat-loving vegetable and is generally transplanted rather than directly sown in any pots/grow bags.

Select a pot or grow bags at least 12-15 inches wide and deep with well drainage holes to plant brinjal.

The optimum temperature for germination of brinjal seeds is 18-30°C and seeds will germinate in 4-14 days.

Give regular water to your brinjal plants and keep the soil moist but not soggy.
