Creating a windowsill herb garden is a wonderful experience that enhances the beauty of your home and makes you feel at peace and there are many benefits to eating them. So let's know how to make a windowsill herb garden.

Choose the right location:

Herbs thrive in direct sunlight, so choose a sunny window that receives at least 4-6 hours of sunlight each day.

Gather your supplies

Get a set of small pots or grow bags with drainage holes to ensure proper water drainage. Also, gather potting mix soil, herb seeds or small herb plants, a watering can, or a spray bottle.

Prepare the pots

Fill the pots with well-draining potting soil mix, leaving a small space at the top. Ensure the pots have drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.

Plant your herbs

If starting from seeds, follow the instructions on the seed packets for planting depth and spacing. If using small herb plants, gently transplant them into the prepared pots.

Watering and care

Water the herb plants whenever the top inch of soil feels dry, being careful not to overwater. Avoid wetting the foliage excessively to prevent disease.

Provide adequate sunlight

Place the pots on the windowsill or in a location where they receive proper sunlight.

Cut and enjoy

As your herbs grow, snip off leaves or stems as needed and enjoy. Regular harvesting encourages healthy growth and bushiness.
