The colorful flowers of chrysanthemums add beauty to our garden in winter. But it is observed that some of the Chrysanthemum plants have more flowers while some have few or very few flowers, this may be due to not taking proper care of the plants. Today in this story we will talk about how to take care of chrysanthemum plants to get bigger flowers.
Repot
If you've grown your chrysanthemum plant in a small pot, repot it into a pot about 12 inches or larger, with drainage holes, to provide adequate support and proper root development.
Sunlight
Chrysanthemum plants grow well in full sunlight, keep them in direct sunlight for 5-6 hours daily in every season except summer season.
Water
Chrysanthemum flower plants have shallow root systems that absorb water in a short amount of time, which is why they require more frequent watering during the spring, summer, and fall months.
Temperature
The ideal temperature for potted chrysanthemum plants to produce more flowers should be 15-28°C.
Fertilizer
At the time of flowering, give Phosphorus rich fertilizer to get more flowers and Potassium rich fertilizer to keep the roots healthy during early winter.
Protect From Rainfall
Chrysanthemum leaves are more prone to fungus, so keep this plant indoors in a balcony or cover it with a polythene bag during the rainy season to prevent the leaves from getting wet.
