The process of seed germination is most important for growing plants from seed, but due to some unusual conditions sometimes the seed germination rate is very low or the seeds do not germinate at all.
By giving an excessive amount of water to the seed, the seed rots, while due to lack of moisture, the chemical reactions necessary for seed germination are not possible, as a result, the seeds do not germinate.
Some seeds do not require light to germinate and will not germinate if sown in a light location.
If the seed is sown at a greater depth, during the germination process, the proper amount of light, moisture, oxygen, etc. does not reach the seed, due to which the seed does not germinate.
Lack of oxygen is one of the main reasons for the non-germination of seeds, which is possible due to the compaction of soil, water logging, etc.
The seeds may be damaged by mold or insects present in the soil, this is also a major reason why the seeds you sow may not germinate. Therefore, before sowing the seeds, make sure to sterilize the soil and mix neem cake in it.
If you sow very old or poor-quality seeds that were not stored properly, there is a good chance that the seeds will not germinate.
