How to grow new plants from root cuttings?

The right time to plant root cuttings of any plant is the rainy season.

Root cuttings are usually planted by transplanting method, the roots of the new plant are well developed when transplanted.

To take cuttings of the root of the plant, choose a root of at least 1 cm in diameter and 2.5 to 15 cm in length.

Place the rooted cutting horizontally or vertically in potting soil with good drainage and organic compost.

After some time new shoots start emerging from the rooted cuttings as soon as sufficient moisture is maintained in the soil.
