How To Grow Gypsophila Flower At Home?

Gypsophila is an annual and perennial flowering plant, it produces small button-like flowers that bloom throughout the summer, and each plant can grow hundreds of flowers. It gives a fresh and peaceful touch to your home gardens, balconies, and terrace gardens. 

You can sow the gypsophila seeds throughout the year but the best time to plant is in spring (February to April), or in early winter (September-October).

Direct seeds sowing method in pots or gardens is best for gypsophila because they don’t like root disturbance.

The size of pots or grow bags for planting Gypsophila should be 9 to 15 inches wide and deep.

Sow gypsophila seeds when the soil temperature is around 20-22°C, the seeds can germinate in about 7-14 days.

Gypsophila requires regular watering during its active growth and in dry conditions.

For the rapid growth of Gypsophila, 6 to 8 hours of daily sunlight is essential.

Typically, gypsophila blooms within 2.5 months of sowing, and summer to fall (May to September) is the time it blooms.
