How To Grow Antirrhinum  (Snapdragon) At Home?

Antirrhinum is a perennial flowering plant grown as annuals it is known as a snapdragon because of the shape of the flower heads. Antirrhinum flowering plant is suitable for growing in pots, window boxes, gardens, or patio containers, it is famous for its beautiful and colorful flowers and is beloved by children and bees.

In India, you can sow Antirrhinum seeds from September to October or early July is the best month for areas with low rainfall.  

Antirrhinum grows best with a seedling transplant method and may not grow well directly.

To plant Antirrhinum, you need a pot or grow bag at least 9-18 inches wide and deep with proper drainage.

Antirrhinum or snapdragon seeds germinate in 10-21 days at temperatures around 18-21°C.

Antirrhinum requires proper watering during its early stage, although a few weeks after planting, you can give 1 inch of water per week.

Antirrhinum can grow in full sun to partial shade but it stops blooming at high temperatures.

Snapdragon or Antirrhinum flowers are produced on a tall spike and it blooms in 2 ½ to 4 months from planting.
